The construction procedure has been sub-divided into two main categories: A) Grey Structure Work and B) Finishing Work. Each phase follows a rigorous sequence to ensure structural integrity and premium quality.
Grey structure work forms the core skeleton of the building — the penetration of bricks and cement that holds everything together.
The fundamental involvement in the layout of building and surveying work ensures the assurance of grid lines as per drawing. It is the procedure in which marking locations for proposed structures and interpretation of construction plans are highlighted.
A significant step in the establishment of sub-structures. It involves excavation of 36-inch wide trenches up to the demanded depth. The required depth relies on the Soil Investigation Report to assess the load-bearing capacity.
Land compaction enhances the quality of soil. If the soil strata are loose, condensation of excavated ground is compulsory to ensure the load-bearing capacity. This task requires a soil compaction machine or plate compactor.
Termite control spray protects the wooden works of the building. Furthermore, polythene sheets protect against damp and termite. It involves incorporating a 3″ thick sand bed on a plastic sheet, a 4″ thick compacted Bajjer layer, and 4″ wide plain cement concrete at a ratio of 1:4:8.
The deposition of mortar with 1:5 ratio in brick masonry smooths out the foundation. Two layers of 27″, 22.5″, and 18″ thick masonry are laid consecutively. These six layers complete the foundation work to specification.
An elevated extension of ground-level work to construct the purposeful portion of the building — comprising the development of roof, floor, beams, and other structures above ground. Construction of superstructures is scheduled to begin in early July when weather conditions are preferable.
The remaining height of land is categorised into the first and second parts. 13.5″ and 9″ thick masonry is deposited in the foundation in the first and second stages respectively. The plinth level is uplifted 2.5 feet from the road, with the porch at 1.5 feet — keeping the main building 1 foot above the porch.
Finishing work encompasses all the interior and exterior elements — including plastering, tiling, woodwork, electrical and plumbing installations, paintwork, and final quality inspections — ensuring each project meets and exceeds client expectations.
